Buenos Aires, 1984. The democratic euphoria taints everything with a multi-colored optimism. Meanwhile, a group of young people is getting ready to intervene public areas and provoke viewers.

How do you drive theater off its own limits? That seems to be the question that supports this documentary directed by Julieta Rocco about La Organización Negra, the group of performers who turned the 1984 Buenos Aires scene upside down. Because, amidst the fervor of the “Alfonsin Spring” and when everything seemed to be oriented to politics and institutions, La Negra set itself apart and worked with the playful and wild spirit of an industrial, dark aesthetics and a focus on the body that was unparalleled in Argentina back then. Through the words of the protagonists, the film reenacts key moments of the group: from Cemento and La tirolesa/Obelisco to its breakup in the ‘90s, the whole vertigo of a group that used its art to conquer the streets.
