From the corners of daily life, everyday spaces and even her pets –as though she were displaying a visual journal-, the filmmaker walks through what surrounds her home in San Clemente del Tuyú.

“Love letters get started without knowing what you are going to say, and get finished without knowing what you’ve said”, said Jean-Jacques Rousseau once. Flavia de la Fuente’s films are love letters to the natural landscape that surrounds her home in San Clemente del Tuyú. Yet her home isn’t limited to the walls that shelter her from the thunders and the hail –it’s also cinema, a language that has the ability to take the form of a shelter. In Diary of a Short Film and Rainy Days, photographer and filmmaker writes an intimate visual journal where fragility and nostalgia blur together with the drops falling from the steamed windows of her house. While the flowers wither, Flavia tries to express the blurred thoughts of one of her three dogs, Solita. There is no envelope big enough for this huge love letter.
