Together with his faithful squire, a contemporary Quixote desperately seeks his vanished Dulcinea, in a crazy and hilarious debut film that mixtures cannibalism, sex, and the internet.
Meritxell, Meritxell… Juan goes out in Don Quixote-like adventure to find that musical, pilgrim-like and meaningful name, which calls him like a mermaid song, or a Facebook poke. Just like Cervantes’ hero, he will never get to see the face of his virtual Dulcinea. Instead of that, he will meet the most absurd, uncomfortable and horrible face of Barcelona. The Burnin’ Percebes drive the almost constantly composed Juan around a city that is an ocean of loneliness and misunderstandings, obsessions and perversions that can only be endured if you’re accompanied by a date you got from the Internet. Although windmills may be lacking here, there are some major dangers lurking in the streets of the Horta neighborhood, as well as disgusting surprises (well, for some at least) on the other side of a vulgar hole in the wall.
