The commercials in color that were regularly broadcasted in black and white TV were a plus of going to the cinema in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Those years were vital to the development and growth of local advertising cinema, a time when film production created by advertising was a pillar to the industry. Thanks to the donation of archives from the Alex and Di Mar Laboratories, the Buenos Aires Film Museum, together with researcher and specialist Raul Manrupe, is revealing and organizing hundreds of cans with negative prints of ad spots from that era. This is an invaluable audiovisual heritage that was digitally restored: a parade of international stars, from Charles Aznavour to Topo Gigio, and songs that trigger memories in the big screen, in color and black and white.
