Everything about Arts

21 de April de 2016

On Thursday and Friday, one of the subsections of “Panorama” features films telling amazing stories from the worlds of dance, non-mainstream theater and cinema.

Horizontes depicts the rehearsal halls of Gran Teatro de La Habana and the everyday struggle of dancers who dream to become the likes of legendary Alicia Alonso. It will be screened on Thursday at 12.35 PM and on Friday at 1 PM at Village Recoleta Sala 4. La Organización Negra (ejercicio documental) follows a non-conventional theater group that started with Argentina’s democratic renaissance in the mid ‘80s. It will be showcased on Friday at 2 PM at Artemultiplex Belgrano Sala 3. And Uncle Howard, with a screening scheduled for Friday at 3.30 PM at Village Recoleta Sala 9, tells a beautiful story about family love and passion for film: filmmaker Aaron Brookner recovers and restores movies from his uncle Howard, a key witness to New York’s cultural scene in the 1980s.
