This year, the Festival’s institutional shorts will be animated GIFs by Pablo Trapero, Verónica Chen, Santiago Loza, Celina Murga and Martín Rejtman, among other directors.
One of the new features of the [18] BAFICI is that the shorts commissioned by the Festival to be shown before a film screening will be animated GIFs (Graphic Interchange Format), a format that is very popular today on the web. Renowned Argentine directors that are part of the history of the Festival, such as Veronica Chen, Celina Murga, Santiago Loza, Rodrigo Moreno, Ulises Rosell, Martin Rejtman, Alejo Moguillansky, Raúl Perrone and Pablo Trapero, among others, will manipulate their own audiovisual material to create these new pieces.
