León, reflejos de una pasión

There was a time when Argentine basketball was semi-professional, disorganized, and not really competitive. That time now seems long gone, but we’re talking about only 20 years before the explosive emergence of the Golden Generation and the sub-champion title they won in Indianapolis 2002. León Najnudel understood before anyone else did that organizing a regular, nationwide tournament was the only way to develop a sport that had always been a passion for people in these parts of the world, but whose evolution had been stuck. He decided then to leave aside his job as a coach and dedicate intensely to promote what today we know to be the National Basketball League, a cornerstone for all the good things that came along afterwards. León speaks about León no only through his own testimony and archive footage, but through the words of players, coaches, and everyone who came close to him attracted by his bohemian style and endless generosity. León is the portrait of an Argentine sport legend, but mostly of someone who understood the only way to grow is through collective work. JPA
