The routine life of an out-of-season beach town is slightly altered by the arrival of Javier, a young man who checks in at the hostel where Sofía works. We don’t know much about his reasons for being in that place at that time, but their relationship gets closer in a conversation that will stretch for several days, as they walk through town and share their stories. And so, by chance, their fates meet. She has a future ahead, away from her family and with some recent news: Sofia needs to make a decision amidst her everyday chores and a sick father. He is driven by his past and flees from a mysterious situation that forces him to either get over it, or live trapped in it forever. The water flows on the ocean shore, flooding the ruins of devastated area, and escaping through old water pipes, bringing the characters face to face with tough decisions and the inevitable process of growing up.
