From the placing of fences in the morning to Mario Balotelli’s entry to the locker rooms at night, as well as the man who shoos the pigeons with echo bombs in the afternoon, San Siro captures the scheme of objects (wires, metals) and people (workers, cops, fans, players) that get this concrete behemoth that is San Siro up and running every time the AC Milan plays. Through some obsessive, impressive visuals and –especially– sound, Yuri Ancarani’s film proposes a journey of feverish futuristic adoration for one of the greatest soccer temples in the world. JPA
