The bathroom of a house is the place where Martelli sets her characters: 6 year-old Claire and her Ecuadorian nanny María. With a very precise acting direction and almost no need for dialogue, the action is centered on the bathroom ritual, while the protagonists wait for the arrival of Claire’s mother. The director focuses on a series of details that end up building a very intimate scene and manages to create a very suggestive dramatic tension, without any other plot than the one around that relationship and the news of the mother’s postponed arrival.
