PROJECTS GOING TO CANNES

BAL’s “Work in Progress” section has selected two Argentine projects, one from Chile, one from Colombia and a Mexican-Ecuadorian co-production to be screened at the prestigious Marché du Film of the world’s most famous film festival. 

For the third year in a row, the Buenos Aires Lab’s section known as Work in Progress has selected 5 Latin American projects that will be screened during the Marché du Film of the upcoming Festival de Cannes. The list includes Alba, by Ana Cristina Barragán, produced by Isabella Parra (Ecuador/Mexico); Errantes, by Hermes Paralluelo Fernández and Camila Rodríguez Triana, produced by Tania Rodríguez Triana (Colombia); Filosofía para princesas (previously known as El Castillo de Barba Azul), by Gastón Solnicki, produced by Paula Zyngierman and Marion Klotz (Argentina); La luz incidente, by Ariel Rotter, produced by Juan Pablo Miller (Argentina); and Las plantas, by Roberto Doveris, produced by Rocío Romero (Chile). In Cannes, on Tuesday, May 19 at 4 PM, 15 minutes of each project will be shown before international industry representatives at the largest film market in the world.
