GREAT CLOSING NIGHT AT TEATRO COLÓN

25 April 2015

The Festival officially came to an end with the screening of “La calle de los pianistas” and the live concert by Karin Lercher and Natasha Binder in the main hall and the awards ceremony at the Salón Dorado.

With the classic beauty of Latin America’s major opera house as a stunning backdrop, the Festival celebrated its final night with the awards ceremony and a closing film screening last Friday night in Buenos Aires. BAFICI 2015, in its 17th year, came to an end (although there are still 24 more hours to go see films across the City) with the screening of documentary La calle de los pianistas (Pianists’ Street), young Argentine filmmaker Mariano Nante’s opera prima, followed by the duo piano concert delivered by the protagonists of the film: Karin Lechner (mother) and Natalia Binder (daughter). And there was more: the awards ceremony, a traditionally happy moment at every Festival every year, at the Salón Dorado. With the satisfaction of having accomplished a great job in organizing another successful Festival and the joy of the winners, a great celebration took place last night at the magnificent building of the Teatro Colón.
