Taika Waititi

Taika Waititi was born in New Zealand, in 1975. He directed Two Cars, One Night (2004; nominated for an Oscar), Eagle vs Shark (2007), and Boy (2009). 

Takashi Murakami

Born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1962, he studied at that city’s National University of Fine Arts and Music. He had the first of many solo exhibitions as an artist at Aoi Gallery, Osaka, in 1991. Jellyfish Eyes is his directorial debut film.

Tamae Garateguy

Born in Buenos Aires in 1973, she studied Literature at the UBA, Acting, and Art. She co-directed Upa! An Argentine Film (Winner of the Argentine Competition at Bafici ‘07), and directed Pompeya (2010) and She Wolf (Bafici ‘13).

Tatiana Brandrup

She was born in Carolina de Norte, USA, in 1965. She studied Visual Anthropology in Paris and Film Direction at the University of New York and the Film and TV University of Munich. She directed several films, including The House with the Banana Tree (1991) and Georgian Lovesong (2004).

Tiago Hespanha

Tiago Hespanha studied Architecture and assisted the workshop about documentary filmmaking in Lisboa. He directed, The Gift from Afar (2008) and Guided Tour (2009), among others.

Tiziana Panizza

Born in Santiago de Chile in 1972, she has an MA in Art and Media from the University of Westminster; she studies documentary filmmaking at the EICTV, and is a professor at University of Chile. She directed the short film trilogy Cartas visuales (2005-13; Bafici ‘13), and the documentaries Tierra sola and 74 m² (2012; Bafici ‘13).

Toby Lee

She was born in Los Angeles in 1980. He studied Anthropology and Filmmaking at Harvard.

Tomás Lipgot

Born in Neuquén in 1978, he studied at Universidad del Cine and Buenos Aires’ School of Music. He directed eight short films, and the feature-length films Casafuerte (2004), Fortalezas (2010; with Christoph Behl), Ricardo Becher, recta final (Bafici ‘10), Moacir (Bafici ‘11), and El árbol de la muralla (2012).

Tony Scott

She was born in Buenos Aires in 1960. She studied Drama, pantomime, acrobacy, and singing. She was a part of the comedy group Gambas al Ajillo, and participated in many plays, TV shows, and films.

Veronika Franz

Violeta Uman

She was born in Argentina in 1975. She studied Image and Sound Design, and directed the short films Clarilandia (2002) and Hevalino (2003; Bafici ‘03). Since 2003, she works in the areas of production and direction for several audiovisual projects. This is her return to film directing.

Virginia Curiá

She studied at the Image & Sound School of A Coruña, Spain, and in 1993 she co-founded, with Tomás Conde, the studio Algarabía Animación. Since then, they’ve created more than ten stop-motion short films and a number of ads. They’ve also produced the feature-length film Pica Pica Circus.
