Cinecolor will grant an award for a WIP project consisting of the services of 3 (three) shifts of digital conforming, 5 (five) shifts of color correction, 3 (three) shifts of VFX –with an editor, colorist and art director–, digitalization for DCP and the creation of a feature length DCP with 10 (ten) keys.
Pomeranec will grant an award that consists of 96 (ninety six) hours of post-production consisting of the following services:
• 80 (eighty) hours of sound editing.
• 16 (sixteen) hours of sound mixing.
Duration: 2 years.
Epicentre Films will grant an award of €3000 (three thousand euros) to a featured length project of the BAL.
Sinsistema offers an award consisting of one online conform, 10 (ten) shifts for the use of the color correction room and a DCP Master Encoding for a feature length film of up to 120 minutes.
Talkbox will grant an English translation and subtitle editing for the final cut of one of the feature length projects presented in the BAL WIP. The file format can be .srt subtitle, .txt, .stl and/or xml or a format compatible with the video editor to use. It also includes an English dialogue list in .doc file. Duration: 2 years
Estudio Ñandú will offer an award consisting of a maximum of 10 (ten) days –of 8 (eight) hour shifts– of sound post-production on the company’s facilities. The award includes the studios and equipment necessary for the agreed upon work, as well as the work of one operator for editing.
Some of the projects in the BAL WIP will be invited to participate in the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival. An exclusive presentation will take place at the Festival Palace.
Arte will grant the ARTE International Prize of €6000 (six thousand euros) to a feature length project of the BAL. The ARTE Award will be granted by Rémi Burah, CEO b&d of ARTE France Cinéma, who has participated in the production of nearly 500 films by major French and international filmmakers. He is also Managing Director of ARTE/Cofinova, a cinema investment fund created by ARTE with the Sofica tax system in 2004
Universidad del Cine will award a prize that consists in the making of a DCP of the winning projects, to be screened in Cannes as part of BAL Goes to Cannes.
One project will be invited to take part in the upcoming edition of FIDLab.
